  • Berhubung kerja di sekolah dengan fasilitas library, jadi deket sama buku anak-anak, pra remaja n remaja. Mulai dari buku cerita bergambar, komik, seri pengetahuan dll. Suka ikutan minjem juga sih, ningkatin minat baca, apalagi mayoritas isinya in English (sekalian belajar).

    Salah satu seri buku yang jadi favorit n recommended buat anak2 usia SD adalah serial Geronimo Stilton.

    Genrenya adventure, terus bahasa yang digunain fun banget. Untuk kata-kata yang jadi highlight (buat enrich the vocabularies) ditandain dengan warna n font khusus. Banyak juga fun facts yang diselipin di dalam buku, khususnya karena mengupas petualangan di berbagai daerah di dunia.

    Ada juga graphic novelsnya n serial yang berkaitan yaitu Thea Stilton series n Creepella von Cacklefur series.

    Ah, jadi berasa anak2 lagi :D

  • nanya donk mom, buku yg cocok buat umur 2o bulan apa yach ? aku sudah mulai ajarin huruf, angka yg ditempel di dinding, maunya sambil dgrin cerita2 gitu

    Saranku cobain buku2 yang tipenya touch n feel, pop-up, sticker or magnetic book. Jadi ada cerita n ada juga activity yang dilakuin bareng2 biar anak nggak bosen.

    Mungkin kalo usianya 20 bulan, masuknya ke thread toddler books di sini ya.

  • Moms, mau share info... utk para mommies yg punya akun twitter kemungkinan besar sudah tahu, tapi beberapa waktu yg lalu penulis Clara Ng bagi2 informasi mengenai 'Reading Milestone' atau tahapan2 baca pada anak, mulai dari baby umur 0-12 bln, 1-3 th., 4-7 th., dst. s/d usia remaja 18 th. Informasi-nya berguna sekali untuk tahu buku2 spt apa yg tepat untuk masing2 kelompok usia anak.

    Kalau yg mau baca lebih detail bisa baca di time-line-nya langsung, atau ada juga rangkuman-nya di blog ini.

    Mudah2an berguna yah, moms :)
